Fair Housing Champions are those individuals, organizations, and businesses that support the CHRB's efforts to eradicate housing discrimination and make Billings an open and welcoming community for all those who choose to live here.
How can you support the CHRB?
Donate Money:
There is no dedicated money in city, county, or federal government for fair housing education and outreach activities. Therefore, the CHRB must raise its entire budget each year in order to continue providing services to the people in our communities. Your Support can Buy:
- An hour of housing counseling.
- A presentation to teens moving into independent living.
- Berenstein Bear books on neighborhood diversity for elementary school presentations.
- A fair housing workshop to help housing providers understand and comply with fair housing laws.
- A special event to raise community awareness about fair housing issues in our community.

Donate Time:
Help the CHRB by donating a few hours of your time to managing a database, preparing a newsletter, or archiving historical materials from the CHRB's early years. Call CHRB at 256-9355 to help.
Donate in-kind materials or services:
The CHRB can always use donations of office supplies such as copy paper, printer cartridges and toner, newsprint pads, and $5 gas cards for our student interns who currently use their own gas for all CHRB errands and assignments. CHRB would benefit greatly from the donation of in-kind bookkeeping and tax assistance. We have a current need for professional assistance in promoting our Jazz for Peace Concert.
